One of the services we provide is Dark Web Monitoring. We watch the shady areas of the internet for our clients, and we help them when their information.
We are like a Cancer Screener, We cannot stop the bad things from happening, but we can see the early indicators and help minimize any damages. Minimizing heartache and worry is our success story today.
This is a new blackmail scam going around, look below – this is a real email forwarded sent to us from a client, bad actors are using the same information that we have to try and blackmail people they find in these databases.
They have the username, the (in this case – Old) valid password, and leverage a social fear of being exposed doing something socially wrong. These types of emails are normally sent out from free email services, and then are not used again, they also use bitcoin for anonymous payments.
Thankfully, our Ultra Scary Client has had his password changed (in ALL the places it was listed) back when we started offering this service, and will not be sending Mr Seiegfried any bitcoins.

I am aware xxxxxxx is your pass word. Lets get straight to the point. You don’t know me and you are probably thinking why you’re getting this mail? No person has paid me to investigate you.
Let me tell you, I placed a software on the 18+ streaming (pornographic material) website and do you know what, you visited this website to have fun (you know what I mean). When you were watching videos, your browser started operating as a RDP with a keylogger which gave me access to your screen and webcam. Just after that, my software obtained all of your contacts from your Messenger, FB, as well as e-mailaccount. After that I made a video. 1st part displays the video you were viewing (you’ve got a nice taste lol), and 2nd part displays the recording of your cam, & its u.
You got not one but two choices. Shall we review these types of choices in aspects:
First solution is to dismiss this e-mail. In this instance, I am going to send out your actual videotape to just about all of your contacts and then think about the embarrassment you will see. And consequently should you be in a committed relationship, exactly how it will certainly affect?
Other solution would be to compensate me $7000. Lets name it as a donation. Then, I will without delay remove your video recording. You could keep going on your way of life like this never occurred and you surely will never hear back again from me.
You’ll make the payment by Bitcoin (if you do not know this, search “how to buy bitcoin” in Google search engine).
BTC Address to send to: 13XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX1eXnX1BwJKTu
[case sensitive so copy and paste it]
If you may be making plans for going to the police, good, this e-mail can not be traced back to me. I have dealt with my steps. I am not looking to charge you a lot, I want to be compensated. You now have one day in order to make the payment. I have a special pixel within this e-mail, and right now I know that you have read through this mail. If I do not get the BitCoins, I will, no doubt send your video to all of your contacts including friends and family, colleagues, and so forth. Nonetheless, if I do get paid, I’ll destroy the recording right away. If you really want evidence, reply with Yes then I will certainly send out your video recording to your 9 friends. This is the non:negotiable offer so don’t waste my time and yours by replying to this e mail.
